WW2 visit

The children in Year 4 and 6 had a visit from ‘Tommy’ today who came to teach them about World War Two. In the morning year 6 learnt about the life of soldier and equipment they needed for the battlefield, they learnt about some of the different battles during WW2, and completed their morning with some marching training. In the afternoon they were joined by Year 4 to they learn a bit about the Home front. They also took part in some war time dances; they learnt the  Lambeth Walk and the Gay Gordons. This was a brilliant day and really brought their learning to life
