Intent:

We aim to support the development of happy and confident children who achieve their full potential academically, alongside building on skills for life.

At Carleton Endowed CE  Primary School we provide an inclusive environment that welcomes all learners regardless of their needs.

The school believes that the majority of pupils will learn and progress within the general framework of teaching arrangements in the school. However, any child that does that have special educational needs is entitled to a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum and access to all activities connected with the school.

We have experience of supporting children with a wide range of SEND, including Speech and Language needs, Autistic Spectrum  Conditions, Specific Learning Difficulties and others. This support is  provided for pupils with and without EHCPs and we continue to develop  strategies in response to the individual needs of children.

Children and young people (CYP) with a wide range of SEN are  welcomed into the school. If a parent of a pupil with an EHCP requests  a place at the school, the CYP is welcomed and strategies sought to meet needs.

The School's SEND Coordinator (SENDCO) is Miss  Turner You can contact her on [email protected]
