Two boys holding chicks

It was a wonderful experience for our reception children to have taken responsibility for caring for chicks in their first weeks of life. The chicks began hatching within two days of arriving with us and the children saw the eggs wobble and then crack open. They enjoyed watching the chicks growing and feeding in the brooding box and learnt a lot about life cycles and about caring for animals. Our chicks have now moved on and we hope they will be happy in their new homes. Thank you to the PTA for funding this project!
